Matcha AI ("Matcha," "we," "us") provides an AI-powered lecture notes platform that allows users to record lectures, generate transcriptions, summaries, flashcards, and study materials. By using our service at usematcha.ai, you agree to these Terms of Service.
You must create an account to use Matcha. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. One person may not maintain more than one account.
You agree not to: upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights; use the service for any illegal purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the service; share your account with others; use automated tools to access the service without permission.
Matcha offers free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or per semester via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase. Contact support@usematcha.ai for refund requests.
Your recordings and generated content are stored securely. We process your audio using third-party AI services (OpenAI) for transcription and analysis. You retain ownership of your original content. We do not sell your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
You retain all rights to the content you upload. AI-generated summaries, flashcards, and notes derived from your content are yours to use. The Matcha platform, branding, and technology are owned by Matcha AI. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform code.
Matcha is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content. Always verify important information independently.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless required by law.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
